In 2021, I changed my name to Iris Artin.

Why did you change your name?

To better align my name with my overall gender expression.

If your gender is non-binary, which didn’t you pick a gender-neutral name?

My gender expression is a combination of stereotypically masculine, stereotypically feminine, and stereotypically neutral characteristics (rather than being neutral in every way). A femme-of-center name feels right as a part of the whole of my expression.
